By Antony Antorkas

Parker Andrews has been named Corporate Recovery Small Firm of the Year 2011 at a prestigious black-tie event at London’s Lancaster Hotel, hosted by comedian Stephen K. Amos.

The judging panel of 15 was made up of senior individuals from insolvency, legal and banking backgrounds. These included the heads of  the Business Support Units from Lloyds TSB and Barclays, Insolvency Directors and Partners from KPMG, Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers along with some of the country’s leading insolvency solicitors who regularly act for HMRC, the Insolvency Service and insolvency practitioners in some of the biggest and most high-profile cases.

Parker Andrews was nominated along with over 60 firms and, after being short-listed to the final four, were invited to the awards ceremony attended by almost 500 industry peers.

Parker Andrews, said of the award: “I am really proud that the industry has decided to recognise us with this honour. It cements my own view that personal service, honesty and a commercial view in recovery situations is the driving force behind our success so far. We look forward to continuing this into 2012 as we increase our staff levels to meet increased demand for our specialised services.

The award gives us access to some of the industry’s most senior professionals within banks, finance companies and law firms as well as being able to utilise these people for our clients and contacts. It also gets the Parker Andrews name much more widely known as we look forward to another year of growth in 2012, when we plan to grow our national presence while continuing to focus on our core market in East Anglia.”
