Announcement of Firm Merger and Appointment of New Insolvency Practitioner

We are pleased to announce that Parker Andrews and Wood Page Allen have merged with effect from 1 July 2015. Under the terms of the deal the new firm will maintain the name of Parker Andrews. The effect of the merger will be to immediately increase the firm’s size, capacity and knowledge base; but it will not detract from the firm’s timely delivery of client services and personal attention, as before.

On 2nd April 2015, former Director and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner Jamie Playford retired from the practice. By way of Court Order, Richard Cacho was appointed on all live cases previously held by Jamie Playford.

Richard Cacho is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner (ICAEW No. 1849) with over 30 years’ of professional and commercial experience. During his career he has assisted clients operating in a broad range of sectors gaining valuable insights and experience.

Richard Cacho, Director of Wood Page Allen commented “The real beneficiaries of the merger is our introducers, our clients and our staff. I will continue to apply my business acumen and experience in addressing client’s problems to develop pragmatic solutions, and implement these efficiently and commercially” “Since the merger we have made positive steps to improve the firm, including the appointment of a new Insolvency Practitioner, Nick Cusack.”

Antony Antorkas, Director of Parker Andrews commented “I am very excited with the merger. This is the first step in the growth plans for Parker Andrews. We extend a warm welcome to the introducers and staff of Wood Page Allen as they join us. The combined expertise will make the new firm well equipped to provide companies and individuals with the highest level of service whilst maintaining our personable approach.

“We have been working behind the scenes on a number of exciting projects, the first being our new website. A lot of time has been taken getting it right and ensuring it is proactive and educational for the visitor. We are currently working on a number of other projects for the firm so watch this space!”

The merger sees the amalgamated firm extend its staff base to over 20 across four offices.
